Why are you running for this office?

Renton needs a leader for the next four years and I am the candidate with the best skill set, knowledge, expertise and energy for the office. I have been actively involved in all aspects of the community for the past 36 years bringing a strong base of constituent support coupled with leadership, business skills, and knowledge, to lead the city during these tight economic times.

My central goal as Mayor is to plan for the future of our community to ensure a strong environment for businesses, families and individuals who live and work in Renton.

My priorities include:
  • Economic Development- enhancing our successful program to attract jobs, housing, shopping and revenue diversification to maintain quality of life services for constituents without raising taxes.
  • Implementing the RentonConnect program- connecting citizens to city government and the resources of the City by having an open door policy.
  • Controlling the City's costs- so resources can be used to maintain and enhance streets, sidewalks, neighborhood programs, parks and recreation amenities.

As Mayor, I will add to the direction and foundation already in place and bring the leadership skills to make Renton a thriving and united community.
