Describe your most important personal characteristics or traits as they relate to the office you seek.
The most important characteristics I bring to the office of Mayor includes: leadership, strong communication skills, business knowledge and expertise.
I am proven and natural leader who believes in leading by example. I have the vision to see what needs to happen and the ability to bring resources and people together to make it happen. This skill set has been developed through strong communication and customer service skills- I am a clear and natural communicator. I am genuinely interested in people and incorporate this into all facets of my life. My interactions have built long-lasting relationships in the community. It also has brought a side benefit of being able to facilitate and bring people together to work for common goals. While I work long hours, seven days a week at my business, I take great pride, as a city councilman, in making myself visible and accessible to the citizens of Renton. In addition to my work responsibilities, I have rarely missed a community event, neighborhood or advisory board meeting.
